What advice would you give another bride or groom that's planning their special day? Things are always bound to go wrong especially when you add COVID to the mix so don't get too stuck on your idea of the "perfect day" I guarantee even if x, y and z didn't go to plan your day will still be amazing.
If we could do it all again, we’d tell ourselves…If we had a do-over we would 100% elope!
Tell us a little about your day...
Despite so many things changing , going wrong and the fact we were missing half our guest list it was still the perfect day. All the stress leading up to the day just melted away once I got to the end of the aisle, in that moment the only thing that mattered was marrying the love of my life. Honestly I was so impressed with everything I had planned and envisioned, it was even better than what I had imagined for the day and I can't wait to receive all our photos and videos back so we can relive it! The cake, the flowers, the table settings, the food, it was all amazing!
What were the highlights? The things you are SO HAPPY you decided to do ?
We had made a last minute decision to not have a bridal party due to half our bridal party being stuck in lockdown and unable to attend and we are actually really glad it was just us standing at the alter, it made it more intimate and special and then of course our photos were much easier and quicker to do because it was just the two of us! We had our friends record them singing our first dance song (would have been live if it wasn't for covid) which made it extra special and emotional (only works if you have super talented friends like ours) ! We took little moments to ourselves throughout the night just to soak it in and enjoy this special time in our lives together, the day goes so fast you forget to appreciate it. Doing shots together with all our guests before sitting down at the reception!
